Hay and Straw
Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch produces over 120 tons of grass hay and 10 or more tons of alfalfa each year, as well as several tons of straw. The majority of which is offered for sale on a first come first served basis.
All products are available in large rounds or small squares. The straw is barn stored, and the hay is sold out of the field. Bookings for hay are accepted year round, and can be specific to the bale size and quantity if paid for in advance. A deposit of 50% will hold your request for the up coming season. If hay is not booked in advance, it will be baled into 700 pound round bales and stored under tarps.
At this time, Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch is sold out of hay and straw. Our family is selling hay in the Clark Fork area for $3.50 per bale and each bale weighs 65 to 70 pounds (30 bales to a ton). This price is for ‘in the field’ and buyer has the choice of oat hay or grass hay. Delivery is available for a fee. Please call Brenda Brodmerkle at 406-847-2006.
