Wings of Wyoming

Previous Herd Sire

“Wings” was a registered 1999 dark bay (or brown) thoroughbred stallion from the racing lines of Northern Dancer, Tom Fool, Bold Ruler, and War Admiral.  He was never trained for the track because his conformation and temperament were more suitable for English Pleasure and Hunting.  During a cloudy summer night Wings was spooked by an unknown source and suffered irreparable tendon damage to multiple limbs while jumping (and crashing) a gate. After having stood six years as the herd sire of Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch, Wings was euthanized in August of 2008. He will be greatly missed.

Wings sired 14 foals for Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch, the last of which were born in the spring of 2009. Pictured below are some of the foals Wings has sired. For additional information about the pedigrees of these foals, please click on their individual pictures or visit the Broodmares and Previous Foals web pages.
