Quartz N Gold aka “Mini”
Mini is an exceptionally well bred Appendix Quarter Horse, tracing back to Poco Bueno, Colorado Columbine, and King (twice by
Jimeny Jumpup); with Bold Ruler, Remiss, and Alibhai on the thoroughbred
side. She is well built and weighs approximately 850 pounds. She has hard,
well shaped hooves that do not need to be shod during long trail rides. She
spent one year at Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch where she was trained to ride and was bred to the
thoroughbred stallion, “Wings of Wyoming
She was a gem to train and Dana Bowes (at 12 years of age and pictured above) has done most of the riding and reining that makes this little horse such a joy to handle. Mini was born in 1994 and is a very loving horse, classified as ‘dog gentle.’ She does not let the other horses boss her around, instead she wins them over with her can-do attitude and friendly personality.
Mini’s previous
foals have shown her beautiful conformation and winning personality, but
definitely not her petite size! Her last foal sired by a quarter horse
stallion was a 15.2 hand high buckskin with a very willing and gentle attitude.
