Dreamingofembezzling aka “Sally”
Barn named “Sally” because of her sweet and forgiving nature, this registered Appaloosa mare has done it all: jumping, pole bending, barrels, 4H, cattle work, and trail rides. Some of Sally’s riders have included novice adults and small children and she is always very patient with each and every one. She excels in arena work and gathering cattle.
Sally has impeccable confirmation and both red and black spots of color. She has a full mane and a long thick tail that has been consistently passed on to her foals. She has produced two red foals: a blanketed colt and a leopard filly. The red colt (pictured at the left above at 12 hours of age) was born in 2005; the filly was born in 2009 and she is pictured at 24 hours of age. Sally has also produced a brown blanketed filly and a black leopard colt. The photo below was taken during the summer of 2007 when the leopard colt as a yearling and the brown filly was three months.
Sally’s progeny were
sired by the Thoroughbred stallion “Wings of Wyoming
Sally stood 15.3 hands high, weighed approximately 1,100 pounds, and is gentle enough to be shown by an eight year old. She displays the same few spot blue roan leopard pattern she was born with in 1996, so is therefore deemed homozygous for the Appaloosa coat pattern. Likewise, she has produced 100% color bred to the solid Thoroughbred stallion “Wings of Wyoming
