What Was New in 2006
Not Something You See Everyday
In addition to destroying two carports and a horse shelter, the winter wind also dislocated our trampoline. With gusts over 65 miles per hour, it is amazing we didn’t lose our barn, too!
The trampoline was in the backyard and managed to pass over our house without damaging anything! There must have been over a hundred people that have stopped to take pictures of our misfortune. The tree is missing some branches, but should make a complete recovery. Santa will have to bring us another trampoline this year!
A Sad Goodbye
2006 Deer Harvest
The owners of Bluebird Farm & Horse Ranch, Pete and Annie Bowes, harvested two bucks on the same snowy afternoon in late November! Pete’s is a nice 5 by 5 whitetail and Annie’s is a smaller 5 by 4 whitetail. In August Annie also harvested a cow elk (not pictured) to fill the freezer with some high quality meat.
Pete’s son Adam harvested his first deer this year, a doe, also on a snowy afternoon. Way to go Adam! The Bowes family will eat well this winter!
